A Simple Screenshot Trick

This is actually a trick for windows that I am quite surprised is so little known. If you need to make a screenshot in Windows, simply press the 'Print Screen' key on your keyboard. That will make a copy of your screen and add it to the windows clipboard.

Now all you have to do is paste your screenshot into a graphics program and save it. There is actually a simple solution for this too. You can use Paint, which is a simple graphics tool that comes with Windows.

On Windows Vista (I think it's pretty much the same on Win Xp) click start (that windows logo in the bottom left) and navigate to All Programs --> Accessories --> Paint. Then either press ctrl-v or click Edit --> Paste. There you go. All you have to do now is save it to disk.

Simply click File --> Save (or Save As) and enter a file name. Click Save, and you're done.

Hope you find that little trick helpful!
